Day to day
Reporting to the Country Sales Manager, Food & Agriculture the Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for the solicitation, marketing, and development of all aspects of new business relationships. The BDM is located and transacts all business from Saskatchewan.
- Build relationships with our dealer partners and local team
- Work with dealers on retail subsidized programs to help sell more product
- Train dealers on various programs and importance of selling to end users
- Attend and /or present at tradeshows, dealer and or vendor meetings
- Sourcing and building new relationships within the territory
- Providing ongoing support to the various areas within DLL to help maintain the customer experience
- Provide various reporting to our partners as required

Essentials:
- College Diploma or University Degree in Business or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5-7 years sales or related leasing experience, directly interacting with vendors and end users
- Previous credit experience and prior client relationship management experience
- Previous experience in Agriculture lending an Asset
- Proven negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Thorough knowledge of current marketplace trends and activities
- A risk taker and problem solver who can build relationships and leverage energy and spirit to create a winning solution
- A “need to win” attitude and the ability to persevere to see the process through to completion.
- Proficient in MS Office product, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service
- Superior interpersonal and communication (written & verbal) skills
- Time management - superior planning, organization, and prioritization skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Solid team player
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with collaboration tools that support virtual and in-person meetings Ability to work from home remotely/independently and in a virtual team environment

Applicable pay range
$80,528.00 - $120,792.00
DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.
This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are subject to eligibility.
