What you will be doing
Performing administrative and quality checks on financial statements prepared by the team to ensure completeness and consistency
Reviewing financial statements for formatting, spelling, cross-references, pagination, and basic presentation accuracy
Assisting in preparing supporting schedules, working papers, and documentation required for financial statement completion
Presenting financial statements for review to senior members of staff
Updating and maintain available tracking logs, checklists, and internal records to monitor the progress of financial statement engagements
Liaising with internal team members to follow up on outstanding documents or amendments required
Liaising with external parties in relation to financial statements, including investment managers, administrators, auditors and other service providers
Assisting with ad hoc administrative and operational tasks as assigned by the team
What you will need
Related degree or qualification
Excellent communication skills
Ability to plan, prioritise between tasks and adhere to strict time deadlines
Ability to work on own initiative
Some industry experience in an accounting role would be an advantage
Academic knowledge of IFRS and GAAP would be an advantage
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
A keen interest in learning and in career progression
Honesty and professionalism when dealing with clients and colleagues
Highly motivated to learn, perform, and develop
