AI Video Editor — YouTube
We’re looking for an AI-first Video Editor & Visual Creator who can create highly engaging, satisfying videos for YouTube — both short-form and long-form.
A large part of these videos will be created using AI from scratch.
You may not always receive footage to edit.
You could receive a script, voiceover or simply an idea and be expected to imagine the visual world around it, generate the required assets using AI, and turn them into a finished video.
This means strong AI prompting skills are essential for this role.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be responsible for taking a concept from:
Idea / Script → AI Visualisation → Generation → Editing → Sound Design → Finished Video
Depending on the project, you may need to:
- Create entire scenes and sequences using AI
- Generate realistic or stylised AI video from text prompts
- Generate images and convert them into video
- Maintain visual and character consistency across multiple generated shots
- Prompt for specific camera movements, lighting, environments, compositions and actions
- Create AI B-roll where real footage doesn’t exist
- Generate environments, objects, characters and visual metaphors
- Combine AI-generated footage with real footage where required
- Use AI for transitions, VFX, compositing and visual experimentation
- Edit everything together with strong pacing, music and sound design
The final output shouldn’t feel like a collection of AI clips.
It should feel like a thoughtfully directed video.
AI Prompting Is a Core Skill
For this role, prompting isn’t simply typing a description into an AI tool.
You should understand how to communicate things like:
Subject + environment + composition + lighting + lens + camera angle + camera movement + action + texture + mood + visual style + continuity
You should be able to look at an unsuccessful generation, understand why it didn’t work, modify the prompt or workflow and keep iterating until you get the required result.
We’re specifically looking for someone who understands prompt engineering for visual generation and can get predictable, usable results from AI tools rather than relying on lucky generations.
Editing & Storytelling
AI skills alone aren’t enough.
You should understand:
- YouTube storytelling
- Hooks and retention
- Short-form pacing
- Long-form narrative pacing
- Pattern interrupts
- Visual rhythm
- Motion and typography
- Music selection
- Sound design
- Visual payoffs
- When to use AI and when not to
Your job is to constantly ask:
“What should the viewer be seeing right now to make them want to keep watching?”
Tools
You don’t need to know every tool, but you should be extremely comfortable learning and experimenting with new ones.
Experience with tools such as:
AI Video: Veo, Sora, Runway, Kling, Hailuo, Pika, Luma or similar
AI Images: Midjourney, ChatGPT image generation, Flux, Nano Banana or similar
Editing: Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or equivalent
AI Audio/Voice: ElevenLabs, Adobe Enhance, Suno or similar
The AI ecosystem changes constantly, so we’re not hiring based on one particular software.
We’re hiring for your ability to understand AI tools and get exceptional output from them.
What We’re Looking For
You should have:
- Excellent AI prompting skills
- Experience generating video and imagery from scratch using AI
- Strong understanding of text-to-video and image-to-video workflows
- Ability to maintain character, environment and visual consistency
- Strong video editing fundamentals
- Excellent visual storytelling instincts
- Understanding of YouTube retention and pacing
- Strong sound-design sensibility
- Good understanding of cinematography, framing and camera movement
- Curiosity about emerging AI creative tools
- Ability to troubleshoot bad AI generations
- Ability to take ownership of a video from concept to final export
Most importantly, you should be someone who can receive a line like:
“Imagine waking up in a city where nobody can lie.”
…and figure out how to visually build that world from scratch.

Application Task
We’ll give you a short script/voiceover.
Your job will be to create a 20–30 second finished video from scratch using AI.
There may be no raw footage provided.
You’ll be responsible for conceptualising the visuals, prompting and generating the shots, editing them together and adding sound/music where required.
We will evaluate:

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
