Role Overview
As an AI Engineer at Drytis, you will work independently on software development tasks assigned through the Drytis platform.
You will be responsible for understanding task requirements, using AI tools, developing and testing solutions, debugging issues, and delivering high-quality results within a short span.
The role is designed for engineers who can combine strong technical skills with effective AI usage, structured problem-solving, and efficient execution.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and understand software development tasks assigned through the Drytis platform.
- Review existing code, websites, applications, or technical environments before making changes.
- Develop, modify, debug, test, and optimize software applications.
- Validate AI-generated code and ensure it meets the required functionality and quality standards.
- Identify and resolve technical issues independently.
- Review completed work and make improvements where required before submission.
- Continuously improve development practices based on task performance and feedback.
Performance Evaluation
This is a performance-based role where compensation is determined by the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of work delivered. Performance may be evaluated based on:
- Quality and accuracy of final deliverables
- Speed and efficiency of execution
- Quality of inputs, outputs, and task instructions
- Meaningful contributions and actions taken during tasks
- Problem-solving and debugging capabilities
- Testing and validation of outputs
- Completeness and effectiveness of the final solution
Simply spending more time on a task does not result in higher earnings. The focus is on meaningful contribution, efficient execution, and high-quality outcomes.
Rating & Credit System
Drytis follows a performance-based rating and credit system rather than a traditional tier-based structure.
Engineers receive a performance rating based on the overall quality and effectiveness of their work. Consistently delivering high-quality results with efficient execution can contribute to a higher rating, while low-quality output, inefficient execution, or ineffective task completion may negatively impact the rating.
Credits are awarded based on overall performance, task quality, meaningful execution, and final outcomes.
Compensation Structure
- 10,000 Credits = $1
- Engineers achieving a performance rating of 80% or above may earn between $6 and $18, depending on the quality, complexity, and overall performance of the completed work.
- Higher-quality work, effective prompting, meaningful task execution, and strong final results can contribute to higher credit earnings.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong command of Python, JavaScript, or other common programming languages.
- Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, Generative AI, LLMs, or AI-assisted coding tools, with extensive daily use of AI coding applications.
- Proven full-stack application deployment experience (front-end, back-end, and production environments).
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering and the ability to refine prompts based on output quality.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently understand technical requirements and execute tasks.
- Exceptional English communication skills—verbal and written—are absolutely required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail, especially in client-facing and production-critical scenarios.
- Familiarity with cloud-based IDEs, version control (e.g., Git), and API integrations.
- Strong UX/UI design and product experience are highly favorable.
- Reliable internet connectivity with access to multiple providers for redundancy and uninterrupted client sessions.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
