Job Purpose
To lead and manage research and development activities related to animal nutrition, poultry health, feed products, and new product development. The role will be responsible for developing, testing, improving, and validating innovative nutritional solutions for poultry and other livestock.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead R&D projects related to animal nutrition, poultry feed, feed additives, supplements, and nutritional products.
- Design and execute trials, experiments, and product validation studies.
- Develop and improve new formulations based on nutritional requirements and market needs.
- Conduct field trials and evaluate product performance, efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with Veterinary, Nutrition, Production, Quality, Sales, and Marketing teams for product development and commercialization.
- Monitor poultry performance parameters such as growth, feed conversion ratio, mortality, immunity, and overall health.
- Analyze trial results and prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for management.
- Identify new technologies, ingredients, additives, and nutritional solutions available in the market.
- Support technical documentation related to new product development, trials, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with farms, laboratories, universities, consultants, and external research institutions where required.
- Provide technical support to the sales and marketing team for product positioning, customer queries, and technical presentations.
- Maintain proper documentation of all R&D activities, trial protocols, observations, and results.
- Ensure R&D activities are conducted according to company standards, applicable regulations, and scientific practices.
- Manage and guide the R&D team and ensure timely completion of assigned projects.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Qualification: M.V.Sc / Ph.D. in Veterinary Science, Animal Nutrition, Poultry Science, or a relevant field.
- Experience: 5–10 years of relevant experience in Animal Nutrition / Poultry R&D / Feed Additives / Veterinary Product Development.
- Strong knowledge of poultry nutrition, feed formulation, feed additives, gut health, immunity, and poultry management.
- Experience in conducting and interpreting laboratory and field trials.
- Strong analytical, research, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and team-management skills.
- Ability to work on new product development and convert research findings into commercially viable products.
