**Role Summary**
We are seeking an experienced **Senior Test Automation Engineer** with expertise in **automation framework development, data testing, and AWS cloud platforms**. In this role, you will design and implement scalable automation frameworks, validate complex data pipelines and ETL processes, and ensure high\-quality software delivery across cloud\-native applications. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders in an Agile environment to drive test automation and continuous quality improvement.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable **test automation frameworks** and automated test scripts. * Perform **functional, integration, non\-functional, regression, and data validation testing**. * Validate **AWS\-based data platforms**, ETL processes, and data pipelines to ensure data accuracy and integrity. * Execute automated test suites, analyze test results, and manage defects through to resolution. * Perform **SQL\-based data validation**, reconciliation, and data quality testing. * Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle. * Support test planning, reporting, traceability, and continuous improvement initiatives. * Integrate automated testing into **CI/CD pipelines** and promote automation best practices. * Prepare and maintain test documentation, automation reports, and quality metrics.
**Required Skills \& Experience**
* Strong experience in **Test Automation Framework Development**. * Proficiency in **Python**, including **PyTest, Pandas, and Boto3**. * Hands\-on experience with AWS services, including: * AWS Glue * AWS Lake Formation * AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) * Amazon S3 * Amazon Redshift * Amazon MWAA (Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow) * Strong knowledge of **SQL, Data Reconciliation, Data Validation, and Data Quality Testing**. * Experience with **GitLab, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Maven, Grafana, and JMeter/Gatling**. * Experience working in **Agile** and **CI/CD** environments. * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
**Preferred Skills**
* Experience with **Cucumber** and **BDD frameworks**. * Experience testing **microservices** and **containerized applications**. * Knowledge of **security testing** and secure software delivery practices.
Pay: From $120,000\.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Sydney NSW
