JOB PURPOSE We are looking for an experienced National Operations Manager with strong leadership, planning and technical skills to oversee day-to-day operations across projects, service and maintenance, technical teams, procurement and logistics. The successful candidate must be able to manage resources, budgets, deadlines and teams while ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality delivery, strong customer service and operational accountability.
Operations & Planning
- Oversee daily operations and coordinate activities across departments.
- Manage labour, vehicles, equipment and material resources.
- Monitor workloads, deadlines, productivity and operational performance.
- Identify challenges and implement practical solutions.
- Improve processes, communication and workflow.
- Provide operational reporting to Directors.
Projects & Service
- Oversee mechanical hot water plantroom projects and service operations.
- Support Project and Service Managers with planning and problem-solving.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, quality and completion.
- Ensure breakdowns, repairs and maintenance are managed efficiently.
- Monitor outstanding work, repeat breakdowns and customer escalations.
- Ensure SLA and customer commitments are met.
Technical & Quality
- Ensure installations and service work meet required technical and quality standards.
- Assist with technical and site-related challenges.
- Drive quality control and high workmanship standards.
- Ensure correct testing, commissioning and handover procedures.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements.
Procurement & Resources
- Coordinate with Procurement and Stores to ensure materials and equipment are available when required.
- Assist with forecasting stock and project requirements.
- Minimise emergency purchases, delays and wastage through effective planning.
