The role would be to support the day-to-day running and growth of an online clothing business. We sell across several online marketplaces and through live selling, so we’re looking for someone who is confident with computers, organised, adaptable and willing to get involved in all areas of the business.
This wouldn’t be a rigid job where the employee does the same tasks every day. We’d want someone who learns how the whole operation works and gradually takes ownership of different areas.
Main responsibilities would include:
- Creating and managing product listings across marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay and other selling platforms.
- Using e-commerce and stock-management systems, including learning software such as Linnworks.
- Working with product photographs, descriptions, SKUs, barcodes, pricing and stock information.
- Helping develop and improve our Amazon presence and finding efficient ways of getting products listed.
- Dealing with customer emails, messages, returns and straightforward customer-service issues.
- Preparing products and stock for live-selling shows.
- Helping with the organisation of stock and keeping product information accurate.
- Picking and packing customer orders when required, particularly during busy periods or staff holidays.
- Helping receive, sort and process new deliveries of stock.
- Troubleshooting basic computer, marketplace and system issues.
- Looking for ways technology and AI can make the business quicker and more efficient.
- Learning different parts of the business so they can provide cover where needed.
- Most importantly, using their own initiative — identifying jobs that need doing rather than constantly waiting to be given the next task.
Pay: £13.00-£16.00 per hour
