JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing Human Resources support and customer service to the employees. Manages the day-to-day functions of HR Operations including recruiting, employee relations, new hire and separation processing, performance reviews, benefits administration, and HR compliance. Partners with local leadership in HR matters. This position will promote a culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage recruitment and talent pipeline efforts in collaboration with leadership.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new employee pre-employment and onboarding activities.
  • Support employees and managers in the handling of human resource-related activities which may include employee relations, employee questions and concerns, communication, and the interpretation of policies and procedures.
  • Serve as first point of contact for employee benefit questions and issues.
  • Maintain employee data and support HR processes within Paylocity, including onboarding, employee records, reporting, and other HRIS workflows.
  • Assist in biweekly payroll administration.
  • Process complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions.
  • Promote activities and initiatives to foster employee engagement and company culture.
  • Support and serve as a liaison between employees and management.
  • Promote and refine company policies.
  • Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.
  • Assist with testing, launch, and support of new HR tools and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and complete employee records and conduct periodic audits to ensure required documentation and HRIS data are complete and accurate.
  • Assist in compliance-related initiatives including report creation, submission, and auditing.
  • Assist and participate in the planning and coordination of employee events.
  • Other duties or ad hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a business or Human Resources field or equivalent combination of education, work experience, and training. PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
  • Experience with change management in rapidly growing organization.
  • Experience processing payroll for multiple sites.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information, issues, and events.
  • Must possess strong planning, execution and multi-tasking skills.
  • Must demonstrate organizational ability, attention-to-detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with company leadership at all levels.
  • Must possess strong professional demeanor and confidence

TECHNOLOGY:

  • Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems. Paylocity preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position is primarily sedentary but walking, stooping, and lifting light-weighted items may be required.

EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

  • 3-5 years as an HR Generalist or similar role.
