Summary:
Responsible for directing, developing, and overseeing the general heath and safety policies and procedures of the organization.
Responsibilities:

Ensuring the organization is in compliance with OSHA and other state, local, or industry specific regulations

Provides programs that ensure a safe workplace including; safety orientations, skill training, emergency preparedness, proper job instruction, the use of protective equipment, and more

Develops a systemic process to collect data and analyze the causes of accidents and generate reporting
-
Coordinating, administering, and implementing comprehensive training programs in occupational, industrial, and environmental safety
-
Implements initiatives to reduce and prevent accidents

Conducts regular safety audits

Familiarity with an LMS system
Required Skills and Experience:
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of safety and Operator Qualifications (OQ)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs, especially Excel & Word.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly self-motivated and directed
- Keen attention to detail
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Flexible and adaptable regarding learning new tasks
