Responsibilities
- Engineer resilient application solutions that balance operational objectives with sound technical design
- Participate in architectural reviews by sharing recommendations that help determine the solution approach
- Partner with cross-functional delivery teams to ensure releases remain on track and meet quality commitments
- Assess teammates’ code contributions and give actionable feedback that improves maintainability and consistency
- Analyze complex development defects, identify their causes, and carry corrective work through to completion
- Help less experienced colleagues build confidence through coaching and hands-on technical support
- Take part in planning activities by defining work scope and supplying realistic estimates for delivery
- Stay aware of industry innovation and apply relevant techniques that improve team effectiveness
- Document key design rationale and development procedures to support future maintenance work
- Engage business partners to clarify intended outcomes and ensure implementation reflects agreed priorities
Requirements
- A minimum of three years of practical background in a software-focused technical role
- Applied familiarity with artificial intelligence tools and concepts used to improve solution development
- Deep knowledge of Java Core and object-oriented design practices
- Demonstrated use of Java 8 capabilities in real-world application projects
- Experience developing and supporting server-side components through Spring Boot
- Practical exposure to cloud environments and services provided by Microsoft Azure
- Working awareness of Amazon Web Services for hosting and administering cloud-based workloads
- Understanding of continuous integration and delivery practices for streamlined software releases
- Ability to write SQL queries and work effectively with relational database structures
- Proven experience building independently deployable services using microservice architecture
- Hands-on experience producing REST APIs and consuming external REST integrations
- Proficiency in unit-test development for verifying expected behavior and improving software stability
- Familiarity with NoSQL technologies used alongside Java applications
- Clear written and verbal English communication at B2 level or higher
