- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receipt, unloading, storage, picking, packing, loading, and dispatch of materials.
- Ensure systematic storage and proper identification of solar modules, inverters, cables, and other products.
- Plan and optimize warehouse space for efficient material movement and maximum storage utilization.
- Supervise warehouse staff, helpers, forklift operators, and loading/unloading teams.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all products, including brand, model, capacity, quantity, and serial numbers wherever applicable.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of inward and outward material movement in the company's ERP/accounting software.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile inventory with system records.
- Monitor stock availability, identify discrepancies, and report shortages, excess stock, or damaged materials.
- Maintain proper documentation and traceability of material received and dispatched.
- Coordinate with the sales and purchase teams regarding stock availability and inventory requirements.
- Plan and coordinate transportation of solar modules, inverters, and related products to customer sites and business locations.
- Identify, negotiate, and coordinate with transporters to ensure competitive freight rates and reliable services.
- Arrange appropriate vehicles based on shipment size, weight, delivery location, and material handling requirements.
- Track shipments and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain transporter records, freight bills, and delivery performance reports.
- Coordinate closely with the sales and accounts teams for timely execution of customer orders.
- Verify material availability against confirmed sales orders before dispatch.
- Ensure accurate picking, packing, and loading of materials as per order specifications.
- Verify product models, quantities, serial numbers, and physical condition before dispatch.
- Ensure timely preparation and verification of invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, e-invoices (where applicable), and other dispatch documentation in coordination with accounts.
- Maintain dispatch schedules and communicate delivery status to relevant teams.
- Obtain and maintain proof of delivery (POD) and ensure closure of dispatch documentation.
Experience
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in warehouse management, inventory control, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in solar products, electrical equipment, building materials, industrial products, or B2B distribution will be preferred.
- Prior experience independently managing warehouse operations and coordinating transportation activities is desirable.
Education
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or a related field will be an advantage.
