Join a growing, forward-thinking healthcare business where what you do really matters!

We're growing — and we want you to be part of it!

Due to continued growth, Essential Healthcare Solutions (EHS) is looking for an experienced Logistics & Warehouse Co-ordinator to join our team and take responsibility for the day-to-day running of our warehouse and logistics operations.

We are a Queen's Award-winning organisation and an innovative healthcare business supplying products, rental and service solutions to hospitals and care providers.

Innovation is a big part of who we are. We're continually looking for new ways to improve healthcare equipment, our services and the experience we provide to our customers. Following an award win last year, we're continuing to develop new ideas and enter further awards this year, including recognition for an exciting new innovative product we've developed.

We're ambitious about where we're going next, and we're looking for someone who shares our drive to improve, take responsibility and help us grow.

What will you be doing?

This is a hands-on, varied role where you'll play an important part in keeping our warehouse organised, our stock accurate and our engineers equipped to deliver an excellent service to our customers.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Warehouse management: Organising the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring it remains safe, tidy, clean and efficient.
  • Stock control: Maintaining accurate stock records, monitoring stock levels, carrying out stock checks and working closely with Procurement to ensure stock is available when needed.
  • Order picking: Accurately picking and preparing spare parts, equipment and consumables for our field service engineers so they have everything they need to complete their scheduled work.
  • Goods in and goods out: Receiving, checking and booking in deliveries, processing orders, and ensuring goods are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time.
  • Deliveries and collections: Coordinating deliveries and collections, planning efficient schedules and driving the company van when required.
  • Returns management: Supporting Quality Assurance with returned, faulty or damaged products, ensuring returns are recorded, tracked and processed correctly.
  • Equipment management: Managing demonstration and evaluation equipment, keeping accurate records and ensuring equipment is returned when required.
  • Service and decontamination support: Supporting our service and decontamination teams with the movement and processing of healthcare equipment, mattresses, covers and other products in line with company procedures.
  • Continuous improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve warehouse organisation, stock accuracy, efficiency and cost savings.
  • Teamwork and communication: Working closely with engineers, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Customer Service and other departments to resolve issues and ensure operations run smoothly.

You'll need to be organised, practical and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities and take ownership of your responsibilities.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone with previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics or stock control who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of accuracy, organisation and meeting deadlines.

You'll need to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or stock control role.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when picking orders and maintaining stock records.
  • Experience using computerised stock management systems.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers and delivery partners.
  • A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach.
  • The ability to work independently, use your initiative and take responsibility for your work.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing demands.
  • A flexible approach and willingness to support other departments when required.

The following experience would be an advantage:

  • Experience using Sage 200.
  • Experience coordinating deliveries and collections.
  • Experience managing spare parts and equipment for field service engineers.
  • Experience working with healthcare equipment or in a quality-controlled environment.

Essential requirements:

  • A full, clean UK driving licence.
  • A valid forklift truck (FLT) licence.
  • Willingness to undertake deliveries and collections as required.
  • Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
  • Flexibility to support operational requirements outside normal working hours when necessary

Why join EHS?
