Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Dispatch Manager with 8+ years of relevant experience in the Laminates / Sunmica / Decorative Surfaces industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete dispatch and logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of finished goods to dealers, distributors, customers and project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete dispatch and logistics operations for finished laminates/sunmica products.
- Plan daily dispatches based on customer orders, production availability and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with Production, Sales, Warehouse, Accounts and Logistics teams for smooth order execution.
- Ensure accurate picking, packing, loading and dispatch of materials.
- Prepare and verify dispatch documents, invoices, e-way bills, delivery challans and transport documents.
- Coordinate with transporters for vehicle placement, route planning and timely deliveries.
- Monitor vehicle loading, dispatch schedules and delivery status.
- Ensure proper handling and packaging of laminates to minimize damage, breakage and transit-related losses.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records, stock movement reports and logistics MIS.
- Monitor pending orders and ensure timely clearance of dispatch backlogs.
- Manage transporter relationships and negotiate/monitor transportation costs.
- Track shipments and coordinate with customers/dealers regarding delivery status.
- Handle customer complaints related to shortages, damages, wrong dispatches and delivery delays.
- Ensure proper documentation and reconciliation of dispatches with warehouse stock.
- Implement processes to improve dispatch efficiency, reduce logistics costs and minimize errors.
- Lead and supervise the dispatch/warehouse team and ensure adherence to company SOPs and safety standards.
Candidate Profile
- Graduate in any discipline; qualification in Logistics/Supply Chain will be an advantage.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Dispatch/Logistics, preferably from the Laminates, Sunmica, Plywood, Decorative Surfaces or Building Materials industry.
- Strong knowledge of finished-goods dispatch and warehouse operations.
- Experience handling dealer/distributor and B2B dispatches.
- Good knowledge of transportation, loading/unloading and delivery processes.
- Strong team management and coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, ERP/SAP/Tally or other inventory/dispatch systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage high-volume dispatch operations.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
