We are looking for an experienced technical specialist to take end-to-end ownership of our Active Directory environment integrated with Microsoft Entra ID. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert (SME) and provide third-line support (L3), taking responsibility for resolving complex technical issues, maintaining and evolving the architecture, and ensuring the security and stability of identity services.
An important part of the role will involve participating in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) projects, including preparing and integrating IT environments for acquired companies, identity integration, domain consolidation, and aligning infrastructure with corporate standards.
The role combines operational responsibilities with project delivery, with approximately 50% of the workload focused on day-to-day operations and support, and 50% on projects, infrastructure improvements, and automation.
- Take end-to-end ownership of the Active Directory environment and its integration with Microsoft Entra ID, including architecture management and continuous improvement.
- Manage corporate domains and supporting infrastructure services, particularly DNS, PKI, and certificate services.
- Plan and execute domain migrations into and out of the organization, as well as domain consolidation and environment integration.
- Provide third-line technical support (L3) for identity, authentication, and access-related issues.
- Troubleshoot complex technical incidents and resolve escalations submitted through ServiceNow.
- Provide technical expertise for infrastructure projects, advise on technical solutions, and make key architectural decisions within the area of responsibility.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automate administrative and operational tasks, including through the use of AI tools.
- Support security incident response and remediation activities related to identities, privileged access, certificates, and directory services.
- Participate in M&A activities, including the integration of acquired companies' IT environments, tenant migrations, domain consolidation, and identity integration.
- Deliver technical project tasks, document solutions, and collaborate with infrastructure, security, and other IT teams.
- Manage project-related tasks and technical activities in Jira, alongside operational tickets in ServiceNow.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) and the administration of complex domain environments.
- Experience integrating and managing Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) environments.
- Practical knowledge of DNS, PKI, and certificate management.
- Experience with domain migrations, environment consolidation, and directory services integration.
- Strong PowerShell skills and the ability to develop scripts that automate administrative tasks.
- Proven experience providing third-line support (L3) and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Strong diagnostic skills in identity, authentication, authorization, and access management.
- Experience working with ticketing systems, particularly Jira and ServiceNow.
- Ability to make technical decisions, analyze complex problems, and recommend appropriate architectural solutions.
- A high degree of autonomy, ownership, and accountability, combined with the ability to balance operational responsibilities with project work.
Nice to Have
- Experience participating in M&A projects, particularly IT integration following company acquisitions.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 / Entra ID tenant migrations and Active Directory domain consolidation.
- Experience with privileged access management and security incident response involving identity services.
- Familiarity with automation tools and solutions, including the use of AI to improve administrative and operational processes.
- Previous experience as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME), technical architect, or L3 escalation point.
