About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail oriented Business Analyst to support strategic Data Engineering, AI, and GenAI initiatives for NA. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business stakeholders, data teams, and technology partners by translating complex business requirements into scalable data and AI driven solutions.
The role requires strong experience in data mapping, business process analysis, data transformation requirements, stakeholder management, and documentation for enterprise data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Conduct workshops, requirement elicitation sessions, and discovery meetings to understand current and future state processes.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
- Create Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Act as the primary liaison between business users, data engineering teams, architects, and project managers.
Data Mapping & Transformation Analysis
- Analyze source-to-target data mapping requirements across multiple enterprise systems.
- Define and document data transformation rules, business logic, metadata requirements, and validation criteria.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure accurate mapping between source and target data structures.
- Review mapping specifications including source attributes, target attributes, transformation logic, reference data, and business rules.
- Support data quality, reconciliation, lineage, and governance initiatives.
AI / GenAI Solution Enablement
- Work closely with AI and Data Engineering teams to define business requirements for LLM-powered and intelligent automation solutions.
- Assist in identifying mapping patterns, historical business rules, and transformation standards for AI-driven recommendations.
- Participate in validation and evaluation of AI-generated outputs from a business perspective.
- Define approval workflows, confidence thresholds, governance controls, and exception management processes for automated recommendations.
- Support adoption and continuous improvement of GenAI-enabled business processes.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, architects, developers, and QA teams.
- Facilitate requirement reviews, walkthroughs, and sign-off sessions.
- Communicate project status, dependencies, risks, and impacts to key stakeholders.
- Manage requirement traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
Testing & Validation
- Define business acceptance criteria and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Review test scenarios, test cases, and validation outcomes.
- Ensure delivered solutions align with approved business requirements and expected outcomes.
- Participate in defect triaging and resolution discussions.
Required Skills & Experience
Functional Skills
- Strong experience in Business Analysis within Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Warehousing, or Digital Transformation projects.
- Expertise in requirement gathering, documentation, stakeholder management, and process analysis.
- Experience with source-to-target mapping, data transformation analysis, and data governance practices.
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Strong understanding of data quality, data lineage, and data validation concepts.
Technical Understanding
- Good understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with Databricks, Data Lakes, and modern data platforms.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration frameworks.
- Exposure to AI/ML and GenAI solutions, including Large Language Models (LLMs), is highly preferred.
- Awareness of REST APIs, Git-based development practices, and cloud-based data ecosystems.
Business & Communication Skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Databricks based Data Engineering environments.
- Exposure to Data Mapping Automation, Metadata Management, or AI assisted Data Platforms.
- Experience working with enterprise scale data transformation and modernization initiatives.
- Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) will be an added advantage.
- Experience working in Agile product delivery teams.

Education Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Master's degree (MBA, MCA, or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Relevant certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile BA, or Scrum certifications will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
