Role
We are looking for an experienced Master Mariner / Captain to lead marine execution for complex heavy-lift and project cargo operations across India and international locations.### Key Responsibilities
- Lead marine execution of heavy-lift, project cargo, RO-RO, LO-RO, LO-LO and barge operations.
- Oversee cargo loading, discharge, stowage, lashing and sea-fastening.
- Assess vessel suitability, stability, marine feasibility and operational risks.
- Lead port, jetty and marine site assessments.
- Prepare/review method statements, marine operation plans and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with vessel owners, Masters, ports, terminals, contractors, surveyors and clients.
- Provide technical and marine inputs for project bids and solution development.
- Take hands-on responsibility for safe, timely and efficient project execution.
- Travel to project sites, ports and other locations as required.
Requirements
- Master Mariner / Master (FG) or equivalent maritime qualification with valid certifications.
- Strong sailing and command experience as Master/Captain.
- 10+ years of experience, preferably in project cargo, heavy lift or specialised marine operations.
- Hands-on experience with heavy/ODC cargo, barges, RO-RO and specialised vessels.
- Strong knowledge of vessel stability, cargo securing, lashing, sea-fastening and marine risk management.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to be hands-on at project sites and ports.
Preferred
Experience with heavy-lift vessels, self-propelled/conventional barges, Ro-Ro vessels, jack-up operations or specialised marine transportation will be an advantage.
