As a Principal Facilities Electrical Engineer (m/f/d), you will serve as the highest-level technical authority for electrical power systems across Exentec’s global Technical Facility Management portfolio. Supporting mission-critical environments such as semiconductor fabs, data centers, and advanced manufacturing facilities, you will drive reliability, operational excellence, and technical innovation. In this strategic role, you will collaborate with international teams and customers, provide guidance on complex electrical challenges, and lead the development of global engineering standards and best practices.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for medium- and low-voltage distribution systems, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and other critical power infrastructure
- Lead complex root cause investigations and reliability improvement initiatives to enhance system availability and operational resilience
- Develop and implement global engineering standards, best practices, and technical governance frameworks
- Support international sites as a senior escalation resource for electrical incidents, outages, and complex technical challenges
- Advise customers and support business development activities through your technical expertise
- Mentor engineers and technical teams while fostering knowledge sharing across the global organization
- Evaluate and implement innovative technologies in power systems, monitoring, digitalization, and predictive maintenance
Show your expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Power Engineering
- Extensive experience in electrical power systems within mission-critical environments such as semiconductor manufacturing, data centers, pharmaceutical facilities, or advanced manufacturing
- Strong expertise in medium- and low-voltage distribution, protection systems, UPS, generators, transformers, grounding, and power quality
- Experience with power system analysis software such as ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, or equivalent
- Fluent German and English language skills (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel approximately 30–40% across Europe, primarily within Germany and Austria
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
