We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Wix Web Designer to redesign and enhance our nonprofit organization's website. The ideal candidate has experience building modern, visually engaging, and mobile-responsive websites using Wix. You will work closely with our team to create an intuitive user experience that effectively communicates our mission, programs, and impact while encouraging donations and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Design and build a modern, user-friendly website using Wix.
- Create responsive layouts that work seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Refresh the site's branding, typography, colors, and visual elements.
- Improve website navigation and overall user experience.
- Build and organize pages for our mission, programs, events, donations, and contact information.
- Optimize website performance and basic SEO settings within Wix.
- Ensure accessibility and usability best practices are followed.
- Integrate forms, social media, newsletters, and donation functionality as needed.
- Collaborate with our team to implement feedback and revisions.
- Test the website before launch and provide post-launch support.
Qualifications
- Proven experience designing websites using Wix or Wix Studio.
- Strong portfolio showcasing responsive website designs.
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles.
- Familiarity with Wix CMS, dynamic pages, and basic SEO.
- Experience creating wireframes or mockups is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to manage timelines and work independently.
Preferred Skills
- Experience designing websites for nonprofits or mission-driven organizations.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
- Basic graphic design experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or Figma.
- Experience integrating third-party tools such as donation platforms, email marketing, or event registration.
