You will work closely with experienced grid‑compliance engineers and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across systems, controls, software, and project engineering. This role provides hands‑on exposure to real grid‑connection projects and power‑system studies, offering an excellent opportunity to deepen your technical expertise while contributing directly to the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support grid‑compliance engineering activities for battery energy storage systems (BESS) and renewable energy projects across the EMEA region

  • Assist with grid studies and modelling activities, including EMT and RMS simulations using tools such as PSCAD, PSS®E, or DIgSILENT PowerFactory

  • Contribute to feasibility, locational, and preliminary technical assessments to support grid‑connection strategies

  • Support the review of third‑party grid‑modelling studies, including technical checks and clarification of assumptions

  • Assist with coordination and communication with internal teams, customers, consultants, and grid operators, including participation in meetings and preparation of technical inputs

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including development of internal tools, processes, and documentation related to grid‑compliance workflows

  • Work closely with colleagues across the wider Engineering organization and gain insight into the full project lifecycle

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a closely related field (completed)

  • Currently enrolled in a Master of Science (MSc) program in Power Systems Engineering or a related discipline (e.g. Electrical Engineering with a power‑systems focus)

  • Solid academic foundation in power systems, electrical networks, and grid‑connected equipment

  • Exposure to power‑system modelling or simulation tools (e.g. PSCAD, PSS®E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, MATLAB/Simulink)

  • Programming or scripting experience in Python and/or C/C++ is an advantage

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; additional European languages are a plus

  • Interest in grid compliance, grid codes, renewable energy systems, and/or battery energy storage

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work through complex technical topics in a structured way

  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in an international, multidisciplinary team

  • Proactive, reliable, and motivated by clean energy and sustainable technologies

  • Exposure to AI-based tools (e.g., generative AI, data analytics, or automation tools) and an interest in leveraging them to improve engineering workflows and technical problem-solving

What We Offer

  • Hands‑on experience in grid‑compliance engineering within a global leader in energy storage and optimization software

  • Flexible working hours compatible with university studies and the option for hybrid work

  • Close mentorship from experienced grid‑compliance engineers and exposure to real customer projects

  • A collaborative, international engineering environment with a strong focus on innovation and the energy transition

  • All necessary equipment provided to support effective and flexible working
