Bilingual Construction & Maintenance Project Manager
Freedom Key | San Angelo, TX | Full-Time
Compensation: $50,000–$75,000 annually, or an hourly equivalent, depending on experience and compensation structure.
Freedom Key is hiring a hands-on Project Manager to oversee construction, renovations, rental property maintenance, and make-readies in San Angelo. You’ll supervise approximately 3–6 workers across multiple job sites, coordinate materials and schedules, and work directly with ownership to keep projects moving.
Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is required. You must be able to clearly communicate assignments, construction techniques, and safety expectations in both languages.
Responsibilities
- Plan daily work, assign tasks, and coordinate crews across multiple properties.
- Order materials, schedule deliveries, and ensure workers have the supplies needed.
- Monitor schedules, labor, and material costs, and communicate progress to ownership.
- Inspect work for quality and follow through on unfinished items.
- Train crew members and perform hands-on construction or maintenance work as needed.
- Coordinate rental make-readies and maintenance requests with the property management team.
- Oversee maintenance and help troubleshoot equipment issues at two laundromats.
- Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies or coordinate the employees handling on-call coverage.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites.
Requirements
- Strong construction, renovation, and general maintenance experience.
- Ability to lead people, organize multiple projects, and solve problems independently.
- Practical knowledge of drywall, painting, trim, siding, floating LVP flooring, and general repairs.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance, including recognizing when a licensed contractor is needed.
- Comfortable using a smartphone to communicate, send photos, and track work.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for travel between job sites.
- Ability to pass a background check and random drug testing.
- Ability to perform the physical duties of the position, with reasonable accommodation.
Previous management experience is preferred, but we welcome experienced construction workers ready to step into a leadership role. Mechanical troubleshooting and rental property maintenance experience are a plus.
