About the Role

We are seeking a talented, adaptable, and solution-focused Full Stack Developer to join our growing software engineering team in Pudsey. In this hands-on engineering role, you will design, develop, and maintain web applications, customer portals, and enterprise SaaS software solutions.

Working within an Agile software development lifecycle, you will build responsive frontend interfaces, design secure backend APIs, optimize database architectures, and integrate third-party services—ensuring scalable, clean, and high-performance code across our entire technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Frontend & Backend Development: Build and maintain web applications using modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js) and robust backend environments (Node.js, C# .NET, or Python).
• API Design & Integration: Architectural design, development, and testing of RESTful APIs and Webhooks to enable seamless third-party software integrations and microservices communication.
• Database Management: Design, optimize, and query relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or SQL Server) to ensure high throughput and data integrity.
• Agile Software Delivery: Participate actively in daily Scrum standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and peer code reviews, adhering to established CI/CD and Version Control workflows (Git / GitHub).
• Code Quality & Testing: Write clean, modular, maintainable code; author unit and integration tests (using Jest, Cypress, or NUnit) to prevent regression and ensure release reliability.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, site responsiveness, and web security compliance across web and mobile platforms.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years of commercial software development experience in a Full Stack Developer or Web Developer role.
• Core Technical Stack:
• Frontend: Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3/Sass, and modern frameworks (React.js, Vue.js, or Angular).
• Backend: Hands-on experience with server-side languages/frameworks (Node.js/Express, C# .NET Core, or Python/Django/FastAPI).
• Database & Cloud: Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases and working familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Tools & Methodologies: Experience with Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks.
• Key Skills: Strong problem-solving capabilities, clear technical communication, and a passion for learning emerging technologies.
• Location: Must be able to reliably commute to our Pudsey office (LS28 postcode area) for collaborative team days.
