About the Role
Working closely with the Regional Lead, you will take responsibility for delivering high-quality member services across your designated counties, supporting membership growth and ensuring members receive timely, consistent and effective support.
You will build strong relationships with the membership as well as the elected local representatives and key local stakeholders. You will also work closely with colleagues across the north region to share knowledge, provide support during busy periods and ensure a consistent service across all areas.
The role involves supporting effective communication of regional activity and successes, working with the Communications and Policy teams to share relevant updates, promote the work of the organisation and support the democratic structures of the Union.
You will be expected to manage member expectations professionally, follow organisational policies and procedures, and contribute positively to a collaborative and high-performing regional team.
About you:
We're looking for someone who has experience and knowledge of the agricultural sector in Wales with a strong understanding of the Sustainable Farming Scheme requirements, including the details of the universal and optional layers. You will be passionate about the importance of the role that farmers play in the wider economy and their key contribution to our culture and communities.
Essential:
- Experience of Agricultural Schemes such as the BPS, SFS and others.
- Experience in delivering services to members/customers
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools
- Experience supporting grant applications or policy-based work in agriculture
- The ability to travel to other locations in North Wales
- The ability to speak and write in Welsh
Desirable:
- Previous experience using RPW On Line services, CRM systems or social media management
- Experience in a membership organisation
- Experience of dealing with casework
- Experience of creating content for emails, social media platforms and other communication tools
- Basic design experience using Canva
