We design across digital and human touchpoints, partnering with startups and Fortune 500 companies to bridge the gap between a brand’s promise and real-world experiences. Through integrated insights, experiences, and an AI-first approach, we deliver experiences that benefit customers, employees, and the bottom line.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager (Contract) to join our Digital practice in Dallas, Texas. You will lead and oversee a complex multi-stream project for a financial services software client. This role involves strategic planning, risk management, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, experience designers and researchers. This is a hybrid role. Therefore, candidates must be in the DFW Metroplex and be able to work in the United States without sponsorship or through a third party.

Responsibilities

Strategic Project Planning:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans that align with organizational strategy and objectives.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and define project scope and deliverables.
  • Allocate project resources and manage budgets effectively.

Leadership and Oversight:

  • Lead multiple complex workstreams simultaneously, ensuring successful completion.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering an environment of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Onboard and ramp a team that's actively growing — staggered start dates, knowledge transfer, and getting new people productive across workstreams.
  • Mentor and develop less experienced project managers.

Risk and Issue Management:

  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and changes to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies and problem-solving techniques.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Present project status, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Facilitate regular project status meetings and ensure transparent reporting.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
  • Monitor project performance and implement improvements where necessary.

Project Execution and Control:

  • Oversee the execution of project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and scope.
  • Utilize project management tools to track progress and performance.
  • Track and reconcile actual resource billing against planned projections; manage weekly burn rates and monthly financial forecasts within a not-to-exceed budget; and issue necessary change requests or SOW amendments as scope evolves.
  • Foster an environment of team spirit and continuous improvement.
  • Plan and coordinate research operations across North America, EMEA, and APAC—managing participant schedules and ensuring seamless execution of executive and customer sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification preferred. Finance and accounting knowledge is a plus.
  • 5+ years of project management experience preferably in a consulting firm or agency, with a track record of managing complex projects.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Curious about and actively experimenting with AI tools in your day-to-day work - meeting notes, project documentation, status, and executive summaries.
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
