Description
Your Role Based in Bangkok, you will develop designs within a team of interior designers, delivering well-coordinated design documents from Schematic Design phase through Construction Documents within our growing Hospitality Design Practice Area for APAC+Middle East. You will create design solutions and drawings that include a confident level of detailing, including your input of constructability and practicality.
What You Will Do Within a team of 4 -5 people, working with Design Directors in different offices and Technical Director in Bangkok

Deliver Projects from Schematic Design to Construction Documents (IFC - Issue for Construction) at LOD 350 Revit Level

Create details that are industry-standard solutions, especially for joinery (millwork) and wet areas

Create space plans, furniture plans, elevations, sections, joinery/millwork details; conceptual and finished design presentation documentation

Coordinate drawings, mock ups, materials, and finish samples submitted by project contractors with Design Director to ensure continuity and completeness of design solution

Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs. And any other related responsibility as assigned. Your manager will communicate with you further about specific requirements and expectations of your job, which can be adjusted according to business and organizational goals.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years experience with the design of hospitality interiors projects.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of design

Strong ability to create plans, RCPs, elevations, sections, enlarged plans, details, schedules and typical construction details; ability to produce coordinated IFC-level documentation / LOD 350.

Strong ability to create custom millwork/joinery detailing including counters, wardrobes, vanities, minibars, decorative wall systems, doors, feature elements and integrated lighting; understanding of substrates, finishes, hardware, tolerances and interfaces.

Strong bathroom/wet-area detailing: waterproofing interfaces, floor falls, thresholds, stone/tile setting out, niches, vanity interfaces, sanitary fixtures and coordination with MEP. Strong general fit-out detailing for floors, walls, ceilings and partitions.

Ability to develop custom furniture from design intent to furniture shop-drawing level; plans/elevations/sections, construction, upholstery, materials, dimensions, hardware and finish specifications.

Ability to coordinate ID with Architecture, MEP, lighting, FLS, AV/IT, kitchen, signage and specialist consultants, identify clashes and resolve interfaces before IFC.

Your Design Technology Qualifications*Essential: Good working knowledge and experience in Autodesk Revit for design authoring, documentation, data extracts and project delivery.
- Good knowledge and experience with the strategic planning, and setup of BIM projects.
- Good knowledge and experience with collaboration within the BIM context, including cloud-based markups, consultant coordination and clash detection. *Desirable: Basic understanding and familiarity in Rhinoceros for design authoring.
- Good knowledge and experience with real-time rendering processes, and material creation & management within the context of integrated BIM and parametric workflows.
- Basic understanding and familiarity with simulation principles and processes, including interpretation, and application of results. *Preferred software capabilities: Design Authoring - Revit, Rhino, Autocad, Navisworks
