Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer specializing in enterprise integration, middleware, and API testing to join our team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for validating end-to-end data flows, testing integration components, and verifying system performance across IBM MQ, WebMethods, REST APIs, and backend databases.
Key Responsibilities
- Integration & API Testing: Prepare and execute comprehensive test scenarios and test cases for integration flows and Proof-of-Concept (POC) solutions.
- End-to-End Validation: Validate complete transaction flows, data mapping, message payloads, API responses, and error-handling mechanisms across IBM MQ, WebMethods, REST APIs, and connected systems.
- API Execution: Conduct hands-on API testing using Postman or similar tools, focusing on payload accuracy, edge cases, and failure scenarios.
- Backend Verification: Execute SQL/PL-SQL queries to inspect databases, perform backend data validation, and confirm transaction integrity.
- Defect Management: Identify, log, track, and retest defects using standard tracking tools (e.g., Jira) in close coordination with development and architecture teams.
- Testing Scope: Execute integration, system, regression, functional, and negative testing.
- Reporting & Evidence: Maintain detailed test evidence, logs, and execution reports to support project milestones and stakeholder sign-offs.
Key Qualifications & SkillsMandatory Requirements:
- Experience: 4 to 7 years of core IT quality assurance testing experience.
- Middleware & Messaging: Hands-on experience with IBM MQ (queues, message flow, message validation) and WebMethods (integration services and flow validation).
- API Testing: Proven expertise in REST API testing using tools like Postman.
Good to Have:
- Database Skills: Solid working knowledge of SQL / PL-SQL for backend data validation.
- Domain Knowledge: Prior exposure to Trade Compliance systems or enterprise middleware architectures is a strong plus.
Education & General Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and functional teams.
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
