An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to lead our brand-new facility in the heart of the West Midlands. The role is responsible for operational performance, health & safety, quality compliance, cost control, continuous improvement and creating a positive high-performance culture.

36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday to be agreed with line manager. Flexible hours required to support engagement with night shift operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead warehouse, inventory, pick & pack and dispatch operations.
- Deliver customer OTIF performance and order accuracy.
- Manage labour planning and resource utilisation.
- Drive productivity, throughput and process improvements.
- Lead Health & Safety compliance, audits, risk assessments and investigations.
- Think with an open mindset to problem solve, remove risk to product integrity and remove operational risk
- Control budgets, labour costs and operational expenditure.
- Develop supervisors and warehouse teams through coaching and performance management.
- Challenge efficiencies and inconsistencies.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and effective stock control
The successful candidate’s profile:
Skills and experience:
- Proven warehouse or logistics operations management experience.
- Strong Health & Safety background (IOSH/NEBOSH desirable).
- Experience within quality-controlled environments.
- Strong understanding of WMS systems and KPI management.
- Experience leading teams in fast-paced operational environments.
- Budget and cost management experience.
- Continuous improvement experience.
