Job Description
As Product Manager – Power Tools & Garden Equipment (m/f/d), you will manage and develop our European product portfolio throughout its entire lifecycle.
You will combine technical product expertise with market knowledge and commercial understanding. As one of the first users of our new products, you will develop in-depth product knowledge and establish yourself as a trusted expert and advisor to our sales teams, dealers and professional users.
You will work closely with our international teams in Europe, the USA and China to ensure the successful development, positioning and introduction of our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the European product portfolio for power tools and garden equipment.
- Analyse market trends, competitors and customer requirements to identify new product opportunities.
- Define product requirements and coordinate product development with international teams.
- Support product pricing, market positioning and new product launches.
- Prepare, maintain and communicate accurate product data, technical specifications and relevant product information.
- Test and evaluate new products to develop comprehensive technical and practical product knowledge.
- Act as a key product expert, advising sales teams, dealers and customers on technical and application-related questions.
- Prepare and conduct product training for internal teams, dealers and distributors.
- Support trade fairs, exhibitions, product demonstrations and dealer events.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Operations and Logistics to ensure successful product launches.
Qualifications
Required:
- Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Product Management or a comparable qualification.
- Experience in product management, preferably within the power tools or garden equipment industry.
- Strong technical understanding of power tools, garden equipment and battery technologies.
- Commercial awareness, including pricing, market analysis and product profitability.
- Hands-on mentality, enthusiasm for technology and enjoyment of working directly with products.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical products clearly and confidently.
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
- Confidence and enthusiasm in working with international teams and stakeholders from different cultures.
- Willingness to undertake multi-day business trips within Germany and abroad, including overseas travel.
Preferred:
- French language skills.
- Experience with specialist dealer networks and distribution channels.
- Experience working with international product development and manufacturing teams.
