Job Description:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Mid-Level PHP Developer to join our
team. As a Mid-Level Developer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing,
and maintaining PHP-based applications and websites. You will work closely with our
development team to deliver high-quality code and innovative solutions that meet our
clients' needs. This role requires strong technical skills in PHP programming, as well as
a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating efficient and scalable web applications.
Responsibilities:
1. Full-Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain PHP-based web
applications, including both front-end and back-end components.
2. Code Optimization: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best
practices and coding standards to ensure high performance and maintainability.
3. Database Integration: Integrate PHP applications with databases (MySQL,
PostgreSQL, etc.) to store and retrieve data efficiently.
4. API Development: Develop and consume RESTful APIs for integrating with
third-party services and internal systems.
5. Front-End Development: Implement user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript,
and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) to create responsive and visually
appealing web experiences.
6. Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to
identify and fix bugs, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities.
7. Version Control: Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code repositories
and collaborate with other developers effectively.
8. Documentation: Document technical specifications, codebase, and development
processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain a robust codebase.
9. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product
managers, and quality assurance testers to deliver high-quality solutions on time and
within budget.
10. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and
best practices in web development, PHP programming, and related technologies.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
2. 4+ years of professional experience in PHP web development, with a strong
understanding of PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
3. Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and
modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js).
4. Solid understanding of relational database concepts and experience working with
SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
5. Experience with RESTful API development and consumption using JSON or XML.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Independently.
7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a proactive attitude and a
willingness to learn and share knowledge with team members.
8. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Trello.
9. Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., PHPUnit) and continuous
integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is a plus.
