Job Title: Team Leader
Schedule: 4 on 4 off
Reporting to: Shift Manager
Role Summary:
Support daily warehouse operations, lead the team, and ensure targets, standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. Drive continuous improvement and maintain a high level of service for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Lead and coordinate warehouse activities to meet operational and customer targets.
- Train and support new team members and encourage process improvements.
- Manage colleagues’ working hours, tasks, and performance during shifts.
- Report progress and issues to the Shift Manager.
Stock & Equipment Control
- Address non-compliant deliveries and resolve warehouse issues promptly.
- Ensure vehicles, machinery, and equipment are safe and well maintained.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all colleagues follow Health, Safety, Environmental, and Food Safety policies.
- Promote safe working practices, including manual handling and hazardous material storage.
- Deliver safety observations and report hazards, near misses, and damage quickly.
- Challenge unsafe behaviour and support a “clean as you go” approach.
- Maintain high standards for security and compliance, including BRC and cold storage requirements.
Customer & Team Focus
- Maintain a strong customer-focused approach, ensuring service levels are met.
- Support continuous improvement and contribute ideas for operational efficiency.
- Ensure effective communication between the warehouse, office, and management teams.
- Foster teamwork, engagement, and a positive, proactive working environment.
Schedule:
4 on 4 off
21 days holiday each year (including all bank holiday entitlements) holiday entitlement will increase by 1 extra days’ annual leave for every year’s service up to a maximum of 25 days’ leave after 4 complete years’ service.
