Summary
Heatons is looking for a driven, technically minded Workwear & PPE Specialist to join our commercial team. You will play a key role in growing our workwear and personal protective equipment (PPE) business — combining product expertise with a consultative sales approach to deliver solutions that keep our clients compliant, safe, and looking the part.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships, spotting commercial opportunities, and being seen as the go-to expert and divisional lead in workwear and PPE.
Key Responsibilities
× Developing and executing sales plans for workwear and PPE product categories, working closely with our field-based account managers, customer service, and the SLT
× Winning new business across target business sectors
× Delivering consultative sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to each customer or prospect.
× Acting as the primary point of contact for key accounts on all workwear and PPE requirements
× Supporting customers in selecting suitable workwear and PPE based on their documented risk assessments, intended application, relevant standards and manufacturer guidance, escalating specialist or technical queries where appropriate.
× Managing branding, embroidery, sizing programs, and stock allocation for client accounts
× Supporting tenders, RFQs, and site-specific proposals
× Producing customer reports on spend, usage trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
× Coordinating our Supply chain to maximise commercial benefit
× Feeding into product range development by consulting with procurement and suppliers
× Drive sales and best practice through regular collaboration with the customer service and production teams
What We are Looking For
× Proven experience, ideally within workwear, PPE, or a related B2B product category
× Demonstrable ability to work proactively, identify opportunities and take ownership of agreed actions.
× Ability to communicate at all levels of Business.
× Excellent communication and objection-handling skills
× Ability to think quickly, problem-solve, and adapt approach.
× Target-driven, resilient, and professionally credible
× Comfortable using CRM systems and sales tools.
× Strong commercial awareness
× A consultative, relationship-first approach to sales
× Confidence in presenting to clients and running product demonstrations or workshops.
× Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
