Job Summary
Launch your mechanical engineering career by contributing to product and equipment design from concept through manufacturing. You’ll create and review models and drawings, support project planning, and collaborate with engineering and production teams. This entry-level role offers hands-on exposure to mechanical product development projects and industrial or manufacturing engineering work.
Duties
- Develop 3D models and mechanical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software such as SolidWorks or Creo; support mechanical drafting and detail drawings.
- Assist with design engineering, machine design, product development, and manufacturing activities, including tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Support project scheduling and project management; communicate across functions to coordinate design reviews and resolve issues.
- Apply root cause analysis to investigate design or production concerns; use schematics and applicable ASME codes and standards.
- Your impact: Clear, accurate designs help production teams build reliable products and help end users receive equipment that performs as intended.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field; foundational mechanical knowledge and interest in mechanical design.
- Familiarity with 3D CAD modeling, 3D modeling for product design, mechanical drawings, and CAD tools; building information modeling (BIM) tools are a plus.
- Exposure to finite element analysis (FEA), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, or Arduino is helpful.
- Interest or experience in manufacturing, engineering product development, or practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role is valued.
Pay: $67,200.00 - $87,200.00 per year
