Substation/Receiving Station Engineer

Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Substation/Receiving Station Engineer to support electrical infrastructure projects involving substations with voltage levels of 150 kV or higher.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting substation engineering activities, overseeing electrical installations and testing, reviewing technical drawings, and coordinating with PLN to ensure project execution meets technical specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor substation and receiving station installation activities.
- Oversee transformer installation and high-voltage testing activities.
- Understand and monitor protection relay systems and grid synchronization processes.
- Review and interpret primary and secondary electrical engineering drawings.
- Perform technical assessments and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and systems.
- Coordinate with PLN regarding technical matters and project implementation.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve technical problems during field operations.
- Support emergency handling and troubleshooting activities at project sites.
- Ensure engineering work complies with applicable technical standards and project specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (S1) in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in substation projects involving 150 kV or higher voltage levels.
- Strong knowledge of transformer installation, high-voltage testing, protection relay systems, and grid synchronization.
- Proficient in reading and reviewing primary and secondary electrical drawings.
- Proficient in CAD software.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Previous experience coordinating with PLN.
- Strong technical analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work independently and handle emergency situations in the field.
- Willing to work on-site and travel to project locations when required.
- Must possess a personal work laptop.
