$100,000 – $120,000 / year | Full-Time | Onsite – Central Connecticut | Day Shift | Up to 10% Travel

Lead the development of next-generation manufacturing processes using robotics, metal additive manufacturing, laser welding, and advanced automation technologies.

What You'll Be Doing


  • Lead engineering projects focused on additive manufacturing, welding, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies
  • Develop, optimize, qualify, and deploy manufacturing processes for customer and internal engineering projects
  • Design and execute experiments to evaluate process performance, material behavior, and manufacturing capability
  • Develop process windows, qualification plans, work instructions, and operating procedures
  • Support quality system development aligned with AS9100, SAE AMS, NADCAP, and other industry standards
  • Analyze CAD models, engineering data, and manufacturing requirements to improve production performance
  • Develop manufacturing strategies for laser welding, Directed Energy Deposition (DED), Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM), and cold spray technologies
  • Collaborate with technicians, engineers, customers, suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Prepare technical reports, engineering documentation, customer presentations, and project deliverables
  • Support equipment selection, commissioning, integration, customer demonstrations, and proposal development

What You Need


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Welding Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 3+ years of engineering, manufacturing, research, or graduate-level experience
  • Strong understanding of welding processes, metallurgy, manufacturing systems, and process development
  • Experience with experimental design, engineering analysis, data interpretation, and technical documentation
  • Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems such as AS9100, SAE AMS, ISO 13485, or similar industry standards
  • Excellent communication, project management, and technical problem-solving skills
  • Must be eligible to work under U.S. export control regulations

  • Process qualification and validation
  • Powder bed fusion manufacturing
  • Finite element analysis (FEA), thermal modeling, or process simulation
  • Metallurgy, material characterization, and mechanical testing
  • Machine vision, sensors, and manufacturing automation
  • Programming with Python or MATLAB

  • Or a closely related engineering discipline

A Master's degree or other graduate-level engineering education is a plus.
