About the Role
Lead enterprise digital transformation for global clients. Hitachi Digital Services is hiring a Senior IT Project Manager to steer end-to-end software delivery, maintain high Japanese quality standards, and bridge collaboration between Japanese enterprise stakeholders and local engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Delivery: Direct full-lifecycle software delivery—owning schedules, budgets, scope, resource allocation, and quality milestones.
- Japanese Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary strategic liaison for Japanese clients, presenting technical roadmaps, risk reviews, and progress reports in Japanese.
- Agile Governance: Lead cross-functional engineering squads using Agile/Scrum or Scaled Agile (SAFe) delivery models.
- Risk & Scope Control: Proactively track risks, resolve delivery dependencies, and govern change management processes.
- Quality & Compliance: Uphold Japanese software delivery benchmarks and ensure all project deliverables strictly meet contractual requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven track record leading large-scale, enterprise software delivery projects from inception to production deployment.
- Strong mastery of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/SAFe frameworks.
- Proven leadership managing cross-functional, distributed, and multicultural technical teams.
- Language Proficiency: Business-fluent Japanese (JLPT N2 or N1) + fluent professional English.
- Nice to have: PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or Scrum Master certifications.
