HiveRift is looking for an experienced SEO Manager / SEO Team Lead who can take complete ownership of organic growth, local search visibility, AI-search visibility, and a growing SEO team.
This is not a basic SEO executive role.
We need someone who understands strategy, execution, analytics, team management, and how SEO is evolving beyond traditional Google rankings.
Key Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Building and executing complete SEO strategies for HiveRift and client websites
- Managing and mentoring a large team of SEO executives, content writers, outreach specialists, and other team members
- Technical SEO audits and implementation planning
- On-page and off-page SEO
- Keyword research and search-intent mapping
- Competitor analysis and SEO gap analysis
- Website architecture and internal linking strategies
- Backlink acquisition and authority-building strategies
- Google Search Console and Google Analytics analysis
- SEO reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and performance reviews
- Managing multiple SEO projects simultaneously
Local SEO & Google Business Profile
Strong practical experience with:
- Google Business Profile / GMB optimization
- Local SEO strategy
- Google Maps rankings
- Local citations
- NAP consistency
- Review strategy
- Location/service-area optimization
- Local landing pages
- Multi-location SEO
- LocalBusiness and related schema implementation
GEO / AI Search Optimization
The candidate should understand modern search beyond traditional SEO, including:
- GEO — Generative Engine Optimization
- AEO — Answer Engine Optimization
- AI search visibility
- Optimizing brands and content for platforms such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and other AI-powered search engines
- Entity SEO and topical authority
- Structured data and Schema.org implementation
- Brand mentions and citation-building
- E-E-A-T
- Content designed to become a trusted source for AI-generated answers
We are specifically interested in candidates who are actively learning and implementing strategies for the transition from traditional search engines to AI-driven discovery.
Technical Knowledge Expected
You should have strong knowledge of:
- Google Search Console
- GA4
- Google Business Profile
- Ahrefs / SEMrush or similar tools
- Screaming Frog
- PageSpeed Insights
- Core Web Vitals
- Robots.txt
- XML sitemaps
- Canonicals
- Indexation and crawl-budget management
- Schema markup

- JavaScript SEO
- Basic understanding of modern frameworks such as Next.js is an advantage
Team Management
This role requires strong leadership ability.
You should be capable of:
- Managing a team of SEO professionals
- Assigning daily and weekly tasks
- Setting measurable SEO KPIs
- Reviewing team performance
- Training junior and mid-level SEO team members
- Building SOPs and SEO processes
- Conducting weekly SEO review meetings
- Managing deadlines across multiple projects
- Coordinating with developers, designers, content writers and PPC teams
What We Are Looking For
You should have:
- Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on SEO experience
- Proven experience managing an SEO team
- Strong technical SEO knowledge
- Strong Local SEO / Google Business Profile experience
- Understanding of GEO, AEO and AI-search optimization
- Experience handling competitive keywords
- Experience ranking local and national businesses
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to create strategies instead of simply following checklists
- Strong communication and reporting skills
