Hofseth Europe GmbH, based in Hamburg, is a subsidiary of the Norwegian Hofseth Group, specializing in the wholesale, import, and export of fish - with a strong focus on salmon and trout. As part of a vertically integrated company operating across the entire value chain from farming to processing, the Hamburg office serves as a central sales and distribution hub for the European market.
We are expanding our international business. To help grow our business across Spain as well as the Balkan Region, we are looking for *two driven International Sales Managers (m/f/d).
Key Responsibilities
- Business & Market Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities and new sales channels within your assigned territory.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct ongoing market and competitor analysis to identify commercial growth and sales opportunities.
- Client Acquisition & Management: Establish, expand, and maintain strong customer relationships while actively acquiring new B2B clients in South Europe or the Balkan Region.
- Commercial Negotiation: Prepare tailored commercial offers and lead negotiations on prices and contract terms with prospective and existing customers.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and finalize customer contracts.
- Order Processing & Operations: Coordinate order entry, fulfillment, and logistics in close alignment with internal departments.
- Account Administration: Maintain master data and customer accounts accurately.
- Project Support: Support and participate in internal company projects.
Position 1: Sales Manager – South Europe
- Territory: Spain
- Languages: Business fluent in Spanish (French and Portuguese is a plus); fluent English required.
Position 2: Sales Manager – Balkan Region
- Territory: Balkan countries
- Languages: Proficiency in a relevant regional language (e.g. Bulgarian, Serbo-Croatian, Greek) and fluent English
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
- Successfully completed commercial training / apprenticeship (kaufmännische Berufsausbildung) or a comparable degree/qualification.
- Prior experience in the food industry is required. Initial work experience in B2B seafood / fish sales is a strong advantage.
- Strong commercial mindset, passion for sales, and outstanding relationship-building skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational capabilities, with a proven ability to close contracts and open new sales channels.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks, interface smoothly with internal departments, and resolve logistical and administrative challenges.
- Willingness to travel periodically within your target territory.
