HTS Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to lead the delivery of planned works and capital improvement projects across social housing properties. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality improvements for residents while managing projects safely, efficiently and within budget.
Working closely with operational, commercial and client teams, you will oversee projects from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring excellent customer service, strong health and safety performance and successful project outcomes.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a range of planned maintenance and capital improvement programmes, including:
- Kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes.
- Windows and doors replacement projects.
- Roofing and external improvement works.
- Stock condition and property improvement programmes.
- Energy efficiency and decarbonisation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from planning and mobilisation through to completion.
- Lead Site Supervisors, subcontractors and site-based teams to achieve programme objectives.
- Monitor project performance, budgets, quality standards and programme delivery.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, company procedures and contractual requirements.
- Manage project risks, issues, variations and change control processes.
- Build strong relationships with clients, residents, consultants and supply chain partners.
- Support commercial activities including valuations, variations and cost management.
- Ensure excellent resident satisfaction throughout project delivery.
About You
We are looking for a confident and experienced construction professional with:
Essential
- Experience as a Project Manager or Senior Site Manager delivering social housing planned works programmes.
- Strong knowledge of planned maintenance, capital improvement and refurbishment projects.
- Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour teams.
- Good understanding of project controls, programme management and reporting.
- Strong commercial awareness and budget management skills.
- Knowledge of housing compliance requirements, damp and mould management and Awaab's Law.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- SMSTS, SSSTS, IOSH Managing Safely or CSCS certification.
- PRINCE2, APM, CIOB or equivalent project management qualification.
- Experience delivering projects within occupied social housing environments.
- Knowledge of the National Housing Federation Schedule of Rates.
