Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive development activities for assigned work packages, including demonstrators, testing, and subcontracted work
- Support requirements definition for structural systems and sub-systems
- Develop preliminary concepts, structural sizing, and manufacturing approaches
- Collaborate with performance and production teams to optimize design, performance, and manufacturability
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful system integration
- Define acceptance and qualification criteria and support manufacturing and testing activities
Basic Qualification
- Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 5–8 years of experience in mechanical and structural design
- Strong expertise in carbon-fiber composite structures, including sizing, failure modes, and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of structural adhesives and bonded joint design
- Proactive, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Fluent in English
Desired Experience
- Design and sizing of sandwich structures
- Experience with prepreg composites and automated manufacturing technologies (AFP or filament winding)
- Understanding of NDI methods, applications, and limitations
- Proficiency with NX and Teamcenter
