About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Architect with a primary focus on security strategy, enterprise architecture, and executive influence. In this role, you will define enterprise security architecture standards and roadmaps, drive Secure by Design initiatives, lead architecture reviews across cloud, applications, and infrastructure, and guide technology and business stakeholders at director and executive levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Define enterprise security architecture standards, roadmaps, and target-state architectures
- Review major technology initiatives and provide authoritative security design guidance
- Lead architecture reviews across cloud, applications, infrastructure, and third-party solutions
- Create security patterns, standards, guardrails, and reference architectures
- Drive Secure by Design initiatives and lead threat modeling for critical business and technical initiatives
- Evaluate emerging technologies, assess associated security risks, and recommend mitigations
- Influence and guide technology and business stakeholders at director and executive levels
- Participate in and guide Architecture Review Boards (ARB) to ensure security governance and alignment
Requirements
- QualificationBachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Experience10+ Years (including 5+ years in architecture roles)
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including 5+ years in enterprise security architecture roles
- Proven track record designing and implementing security architecture in enterprise-scale organizations
- Strong hands-on architectural knowledge of AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud environments
- Deep expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM), authentication protocols, and directory services
- Comprehensive knowledge of network security, perimeter defense, micro-segmentation, and zero trust models
- Strong application security background with experience in secure SDLC, threat modeling, and DevSecOps
- Experience leading or actively participating in Architecture Review Boards (ARB) and security governance
- Executive communication skills with proven ability to influence technology and business stakeholders at director and C-suite levels
- Demonstrated ability to connect technical security controls to strategic business objectives and risk management
- Proven ability to embed security early in the architecture and development lifecycle (Secure by Design) to prevent design-related issues
- Ability to communicate architectural and security trade-offs clearly, credibly, and constructively with senior stakeholders
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, or Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect (SC-100) (Preferred)
