Flutter Developer
Role Overview
The Flutter Developer Intern will assist in building, improving, and maintaining cross-platform mobile applications for Android and iOS using Flutter and Dart, along with basic backend and database work. You will write clean and efficient code, debug issues, integrate and build APIs, apply modern mobile development practices, and adapt quickly to new technologies and tools as projects evolve.
Work Mode: Hybrid (a mix of work from home and work from office)
Internship Duration: 6 months. It may be extended or shortened based on your performance and overall contribution.
Experience Required: 1 to 6 months of hands-on experience in Flutter development (internship, freelance work, or live/personal projects). Freshers with proven skills and a strong portfolio are also welcome.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining Flutter-based mobile applications.
- Write clean, reusable, and well-documented Dart code.
- Build responsive and user-friendly UI components from design specifications.
- Integrate REST APIs and handle data using JSON.
- Implement state management using Provider, Riverpod, Bloc, GetX, or similar.
- Assist in developing backend APIs and application logic using Node.js, Laravel, or similar technologies.
- Work on database design, queries, and data handling.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and fix application issues.
- Participate in code reviews and follow best coding practices.
- Work with local storage, authentication, and push notifications.
- Collaborate with the backend and design teams for smooth communication, both remotely and in the office.
- Support testing, performance optimization, and app release tasks (Play Store / App Store).
- Learn, adapt to, and apply new technologies, tools, and frameworks as project needs change.
Required Skills
- 1 to 6 months of experience with Dart and Flutter (widgets, layouts, navigation, stateful and stateless widgets).
- Understanding of at least one state management approach.
- Understanding of REST APIs and JSON parsing.
- Basic backend development knowledge (Node.js/Express, Laravel/PHP, or similar), including building simple REST APIs.
- Working knowledge of databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Firebase (CRUD operations, basic schema design, queries).
- Ability to use Git (clone, commit, push, pull, branching).
- Understanding of mobile app architecture and UI/UX basics.
- Ability to work independently from home and collaborate effectively in the office.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and keep up with evolving development practices.
- Willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks.
Preferred (Not Mandatory)
- Personal, academic, or freelance apps built with Flutter.
- A GitHub profile or portfolio showcasing your work.
- Apps published on the Play Store or App Store.
- Experience with authentication (JWT, Firebase Auth) and ORMs such as Prisma or Eloquent.
- Familiarity with Postman, Firebase, or CI/CD basics.
- Basic knowledge of Linux or deployment on a VPS.
