Customer Account Executive

Bold ideas. Big ambition. Real impact.

We’re part of Delightful Food Group. A collective built on decades of expertise across food and beverage, with one clear goal. Do things better.

From first concept to final production, we bring together insight, creativity and technical knowhow to build what’s next.

We don’t just follow the market. We help shape it.

We create food and beverage products, ideas and partnerships that deliver real impact.

Smarter thinking. Stronger products. Solutions that move our customers forward.

At Bold Foods we’re building something bigger. A business driven by bold ideas and big

ambition. A team focused on what comes next, not what’s been done before.

Because real impact doesn’t happen by accident. It’s built.

Role overview

We’re looking for a proactive, commercially minded Customer Account Executive to join our

sales and customer service team.

This is a hands-on role that brings together account management, sales, customer service and order administration. You’ll manage a portfolio of B2B customer accounts, act as their day-today contact and make sure every customer gets a brilliant experience from first conversation to final order.

You’ll build strong relationships, spot growth opportunities, suggest the right products,

generate orders and help customers get more from the Bold Foods range. You’ll also play a key role in retaining accounts, re-engaging customers and supporting revenue growth through proactive, confident customer contact.

You’ll work closely with Sales, Marketing and Operations to keep customers moving, orders

flowing and opportunities visible. If you enjoy building relationships, making things happen and turning great service into commercial impact, this role is for you.

Location

Stevenage, Hertfordshire

  • Build strong, trusted relationships that support long-term customer loyalty and growth.
  • Conduct regular customer check-ins and account reviews to understand needs, challenges and opportunities.
  • Monitor account activity, identify at-risk customers and support retention plans where needed.
  • Deliver best-in-class customer service across every interaction.

Revenue growth and account development

  • Identify and action upselling and cross-selling opportunities across the product range.
  • Proactively contact customers to generate orders, promote offers and maintain engagement.
  • Support delivery of individual and team revenue targets through strong account management.
  • Promote new product launches, seasonal campaigns and strategic focus products.
  • Re-engage inactive, dormant or declining accounts through targeted activity.
  • Recommend products that align with customer needs, menus and commercial opportunities.

Customer service and order management

  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using Sage 200.
  • Handle customer enquiries, requests and issues professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain accurate account information, order notes and customer records.
  • Manage and resolve complaints.
  • Provide customer aftercare and act on feedback to improve the customer experience.
  • Support customer satisfaction initiatives, surveys and follow-up activity.

Collaboration and internal alignment

  • Work closely with Sales, Operations and Marketing to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Share customer insight, feedback and opportunities with the wider team.
  • Support campaigns, strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
  • Help resolve customer issues by coordinating clearly and quickly with internal teams.

Key skills & experience

Essential

Previous experience in customer service or a similar customer-facing commercial role.

Clear, confident communication skills across phone, email and internal and external teams.

Commercial mindset with the ability to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

Strong organisation, accuracy and attention to detail.

Confident building relationships with B2B customers and managing multiple accounts.

Comfortable working at pace and managing competing priorities.

Experience using Sage 200 or a similar order processing system.

A proactive, positive approach with the confidence to pick up the phone and make things happen.

Desirable

Experience in foodservice or a similar B2B environment.

Experience working against sales, revenue, retention or customer engagement targets and KPIs.

Experience supporting product launches, promotions or customer campaigns.

What success looks like

You’ll be successful in this role if:

Customers see you as a trusted, helpful and proactive point of contact.

Account relationships are strong, responsive and commercially productive.

Orders are processed accurately, efficiently and with minimal friction for the customer.

Upselling and cross-selling opportunities are identified and converted.

Inactive or declining accounts are re-engaged through targeted activity.

Customer feedback is captured, shared and acted on.

Sales, Operations and Marketing teams have clear visibility of customer needs and opportunities.

You help deliver strong customer retention, engagement and revenue growth.

What’s in it for you?

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves customers, enjoys sales and wants to play a visible role in a growing business.

You’ll own real customer relationships, spot real opportunities and see the impact of your work in stronger accounts, bigger orders and happier customers. It’s varied, fast-moving and full of momentum.

You’ll work closely with teams across Sales, Operations and Marketing, giving you a broad view of the business and plenty of opportunities to build your commercial confidence.
