Job summary:
As an Accountant at IBS, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial integrity, contributing to strategic financial decisions, and ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks, from managing accounts payable and receivable to reconciling financial statements and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
- Performing bank reconciliations, identifying discrepancies, and resolving financial issues.
- Processing payroll accurately and on time, adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Preparing and analysing financial statements, highlighting key insights and trends.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate and complete financial data.
- Utilizing your expertise in Xero accounting software to streamline financial processes.
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
- Providing insightful financial analysis and recommendations for strategic planning.
- Contributing to process improvements and system enhancements.
- Assisting in the preparation of BAS returns and ensuring adherence to tax regulations.
- Supporting the Group Accountant and senior leadership with ad hoc financial projects.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in using Xero accounting software is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Previous experience with invoice management and accounts payable/receivable.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Proven track record of maintaining financial accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Other requirements:
- Must have a stable primary internet connection and a backup connection
- Able to work in case of power outages continuously (has backup power source/ample power bank)
