Position Summary:
The Warehouse Manager is a critical role requiring extensive experience and exceptional leadership. As a role model and the core of the team, the Lead is not only expected to be proficient in all warehouse operations but is also responsible for leading and motivating the team, ensuring all operational processes are safe, efficient, and precise. Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervising daily operations, conducting team meetings, training new employees, ensuring operational safety and compliance, and continuously driving improvements in productivity and work efficiency. This position demands a high degree of responsibility to ensure all tasks are completed on the same day, thereby fostering a safe, tidy, and efficient working environment for the company.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
1\. Team Leadership \& Management
* Daily Planning \& Meetings: Arrive daily before team members to plan and arrange the day's work in advance. Host daily morning meetings to communicate key tasks and safety matters, and regularly organize safety production meetings to discuss and designate specific safe operating procedures. * Collaboration \& Communication: Collaborate effectively with the warehouse clerk to handle inbound and outbound documents, develop work plans, track progress, and conduct inventory counts. * Performance \& Motivation: Continuously monitor and evaluate employee work performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement measures to boost team morale and efficiency.
2\. Core Material Handling \& Skills
* Forklift \& Equipment: Proficiently operate various types of forklifts and possess foundational knowledge for daily inspections and basic maintenance of equipment, ensuring all machinery remains in optimal working condition. * Specialized Assembly Skills: Must be proficient in assembling various sizes of uprights and be capable of guiding other employees in these tasks. * Unloading \& Packing: Expert in unloading oversized uprights from containers and possessing more advanced packing and loading/unloading skills than other employees, ensuring safe and efficient material flow. * Tool Management: Responsible for the daily oversight of all tools, ensuring their correct use, proper storage, and regular maintenance. * Consumables \& Inventory Management: Responsible for the effective supervision and inventory management of key warehouse supplies, including but not limited to pallets, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), various packing materials, and daily drinking water. Regularly review consumable usage and, when material stock levels reach preset reorder points, promptly submit accurate procurement requests to the superior supervisor to ensure operational continuity and efficiency of the warehouse.
3\. Safety \& Compliance
* Warehouse Patrols \& Hazard Mitigation: Conduct daily warehouse patrols to ensure product stacking is free of any safety hazards and promptly correct any misplacement or mixing of products. * OSHA Compliance: Possess detailed awareness of OSHA safety operating procedures and ensure all team members unconditionally comply with the company's "Warehouse Safety Policy," employee handbook, and all safety regulations, traffic signs, and warning labels. * Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) \& Uniform: Supervise team members to daily wear company\-mandated personal protective equipment (safety vests and steel\-toed boots) and adhere to the uniform policy.
Job Requirements
* Experience: * At least 3 years of warehouse work experience, with 1\+ year of team management or supervisory experience. * Experience in employee performance evaluation, training, and team motivation. * Skills: * Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills, capable of effectively resolving team conflicts and issues. * Proficient in warehouse operating procedures, including receiving, inventory, picking, and shipping. * Ability to proficiently use office software and relevant warehouse management systems. * Physical Demands: * Ability to withstand high\-intensity physical work, including prolonged standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects.
Performance Metrics
* Team Efficiency: Accuracy and speed of order processing, packing, and dispatch. * Safety Performance: Team's accident rate (striving for zero incidents) and compliance of the warehouse environment with safety regulations. * Inventory Accuracy: Inventory count accuracy and rate of goods damage. * Work Environment: Cleanliness and organizational orderliness of the warehouse. * Team Development: Employee skill improvement and sustained growth in team productivity.
