Job Description – LCL Import Documentation Executive, Sr Executive \& AM Job Title LCL Import Documentation Executive, Sr Executive \& AM Department Operations / Import Documentation Reports To Import Documentation Manager / Operations Manager Job Summary The LCL Import Documentation Executive is responsible for managing end\-to\-end import documentation for Less than Container Load (LCL) shipments. The role involves coordinating with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, Container Freight Stations (CFS), transporters, and customers to ensure timely customs clearance and cargo delivery while complying with import regulations. Key Responsibilities **Handle end\-to\-end documentation for LCL import shipments.** Verify shipping documents, including Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Arrival Notices, and Delivery Orders. **Coordinate with shipping lines, co\-loaders, overseas agents, CFS operators, customs brokers, and customers.** Ensure timely receipt and verification of import documents before vessel arrival. **Prepare and share document sets with customs clearance teams.** Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to customers. **Arrange Delivery Orders and coordinate cargo release from the CFS.** Follow up on customs clearance and resolve documentation discrepancies. **Maintain accurate shipment records in the ERP/TMS system.** Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company SOPs. **Coordinate with transport teams for cargo delivery after customs clearance.** Handle customer queries related to shipment status and documentation. **Maintain KPIs related to documentation accuracy and turnaround time. Required Skills** Knowledge of LCL import operations and documentation. **Understanding of customs clearance procedures and import regulations.** Familiarity with Bills of Lading, Delivery Orders, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and Bills of Entry. **Good communication and coordination skills.** Strong attention to detail and accuracy. **Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.** Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP/TMS systems. Qualifications **Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.** 2–5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping, preferably in LCL import documentation. Preferred Experience **Experience working with freight forwarders, NVOCCs, shipping lines, or CHA firms.** Knowledge of ICEGATE, customs procedures, and CFS operations. **Experience with logistics or freight management software.
