The Role
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a proactive and technically minded IT & AI Specialist to join our team and play a key role in our ongoing digital transformation.
This is a varied and hands-on position that combines day-to-day IT support and infrastructure management with AI, automation and emerging technologies.
You will help introduce, manage and develop AI-powered solutions across the business, including generative AI, large language models (LLMs) and automated workflows. You will also provide IT support to colleagues across the organisation, helping ensure our systems remain secure, reliable and effective.
The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys finding better ways of doing things, is curious about new technology and can translate technical possibilities into practical business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Platform Administration & Deployment – Manage user access, permissions, configurations and licences for enterprise AI platforms such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Manus AI, Claude.
- IT Support – Provide day-to-day IT support, troubleshooting and technical assistance to colleagues across all departments.
- System Monitoring & Performance – Monitor system health, performance, availability and logs, using appropriate monitoring and reporting tools.
- AI & Workflow Automation – Identify opportunities to improve business processes and integrate AI, LLMs and platform automation.
- Incident & Problem Resolution – Investigate and resolve IT, AI and automation issues, working with software providers, developers and other stakeholders where required.
- Security & Governance – Support the secure and responsible use of AI, ensuring systems and processes align with UK data protection requirements, GDPR and relevant security standards such as Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001.
- User Training & Support – Help colleagues understand and adopt new technology by providing training, guidance and ongoing support.
- Documentation – Develop clear user guides, technical documentation, processes and operational playbooks.
- Continuous Improvement – Proactively identify opportunities to use technology, AI and automation to improve efficiency, reduce repetitive tasks and support business growth.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Degree-level qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, Artificial Intelligence or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2-3 years' proven experience in IT support, IT operations, AI or a related technical role.
- Experience administering SaaS applications and cloud-based environments, preferably Zoho, MailChimp, Google Drive, WeChat, MS 365
- Practical understanding of generative AI, large language models (LLMs), AI/ML concepts and automation technologies.
- Experience with workflow automation platforms such as ZohoDesk and ManusAI would be advantageous.
- Ability to interpret application logs, perform troubleshooting, establish health checks and monitor system performance.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues.
- A proactive approach and genuine interest in emerging technologies and finding innovative solutions.
