**Key Responsibilities:**
The Statistical Analyst role is primarily responsible for survey data processing, analysis, reporting, and quality assurance. The core responsibilities include:
* Create custom analytics and reporting deliverables for McLean \& Company members, using tools such as R, Python, SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint to clean data, update pre\-existing scripts, build custom report templates, and format final reports to a polished, client\-ready standard. * Conduct analyses on survey data for the Diagnostics and broader HR Research teams by extracting and merging data from our full suite of diagnostics, including Engagement, New Hire, and Exit. * Identify opportunities to improve reporting by recommending clearer data displays and enhanced calculations that support validity, reliability, and action\-oriented insights. * Learn and work with McLean \& Company's proprietary survey platforms. * Participate in ongoing data collection/cleaning efforts and process improvement projects. * Provide an additional layer of quality assurance and troubleshoot problems that arise. * Act as a technical resource for data\-related questions. * Take on other duties as required as the team and product offerings continue to grow.
**Required Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics) or in Human Resources, Sociology, or Psychology with strong quantitative/statistical coursework. * Proficiency with R and/or Python * Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite specifically Excel and PowerPoint. * Experience and comfort in a customer service environment.
**Preferred:**
* Master’s degree is an asset but not required. * Proficiency with SQL and Git * Experience with employee lifecycle surveys * Experience or exposure to HR data and People Analytics is strongly preferred
**Skills:**
* **Data Analysis**. Good data visualization and storytelling skills. Ability to communicate complex concepts for business use. * **Customer Service**. Must be comfortable working directly with clients over phone/video meetings to scope requirements and work to find solutions. * **Problem\-Solving Skills**. Able to troubleshoot technical and data issues to identify root cause and propose a solution. Able to debug scripts efficiently. * **Organization and Attention to Detail**. Must be extremely organized with a track record of meeting deadlines, delivering on commitments, and high level of accuracy. * **Teamwork and Collaboration**. Work with other members of the Diagnostics team to balance workloads and share ideas/learning experiences. Maintain positive relationships within team and other departments. * **Change Management**. Adapt to process changes and improvements on an ongoing basis. * **Willingness to Learn**. Comfortable learning and working with various technologies and programming languages. Desire to learn, understand new things and how they work.
