Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree and six to ten years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience
- In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices
- Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function
- Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices
- Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and ten years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Full-stack development skills, such as Java, SQL, REST, XML/XSLT, JSON, REST/SOAP, API management and Spring suite.
- Experience with OpenShift/Docker, Containers and config management, app servers (IBM WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat), and caching technologies.
- Experience with Unit testing, test automation, build tools and monitoring apps, such as Junit, Dynatrace, Splunk, Gradle, Git, Maven, and Jenkins and CI/CD process
- Solid knowledge of relational database design and development (SQL, stored procedures, data modeling) on DB2, MS SQL Server etc.
- Experience with MQ, JMS, Kafka.
- Experience working on Linux/Windows/AIX, Shell/bash scripting etc.
- Strong team player with ability to work with diverse tech and support team members
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues in business terms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with IBM FTM product suite or payment processing experience is a plus
- Knowledge of the financial services industry.
