* Bachelor’s Degree and six to ten years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience * In\-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices * Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function * Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices * Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree and ten years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience * Full\-stack development skills, such as Java, SQL, REST, XML/XSLT, JSON, REST/SOAP, API management and Spring suite. * Experience with OpenShift/Docker, Containers and config management, app servers (IBM WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat), and caching technologies. * Experience with Unit testing, test automation, build tools and monitoring apps, such as Junit, Dynatrace, Splunk, Gradle, Git, Maven, and Jenkins and CI/CD process * Solid knowledge of relational database design and development (SQL, stored procedures, data modeling) on DB2, MS SQL Server etc. * Experience with MQ, JMS, Kafka. * Experience working on Linux/Windows/AIX, Shell/bash scripting etc. * Strong team player with ability to work with diverse tech and support team members * Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues in business terms * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills
**Additional Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working with IBM FTM product suite or payment processing experience is a plus * Knowledge of the financial services industry.
