Innovative Technologies Corporation (ITC) is seeking an experienced Structural / Facilities Engineer to support the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineer Flight at Creech Air Force Base, Nevada.
This is an immediate, funded position—not a contingent opportunity.
We are interested in engineers with experience in structural engineering, civil engineering, facilities engineering, construction engineering, infrastructure projects, or related project engineering. Prior DoD or Air Force experience is highly desirable but is not required for an otherwise well-qualified candidate.
Relocation assistance may be available.
What You’ll Do
You will work directly with Air Force civil engineering personnel supporting facility sustainment, infrastructure improvements, renovations, repairs, and new construction projects on an active military installation.
Responsibilities include:
- Review structural designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, and construction documents
- Review contractor submittals, RFIs, material selections, and other technical documentation
- Evaluate projects for compliance with applicable UFC, IBC, DoD, Air Force, and engineering standards
- Conduct site visits, facility assessments, field inspections, and construction progress reviews
- Identify structural or facility deficiencies and recommend practical corrective actions
- Support project planning, scope development, cost estimates, schedules, and technical evaluations
- Provide engineering recommendations during design and construction
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical and electrical engineers, architects, construction managers, contractors, and Government personnel
- Support construction quality assurance, quality control, and safety requirements
- Prepare engineering reports, memoranda, assessments, and other technical documentation
- Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and construction coordination activities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- At least 5 years of relevant engineering, structural, facilities, construction, or infrastructure project experience
- Experience reviewing engineering designs, calculations, construction documents, contractor submittals, or similar technical documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to successfully meet applicable Government background, security, and base-access requirements
- Ability to work full-time onsite at Creech AFB, Nevada
Preferred Experience
We are especially interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following:
- Current or previously held DoD Secret security clearance
- Structural or civil engineering
- Facilities engineering or facility sustainment
- DoD, Air Force, or other federal facilities
- Military installation engineering
- Construction engineering or construction management
- Structural design or design review
- Steel, concrete, foundations, or structural repair
- UFC, IBC, ASCE, or other applicable engineering codes and standards
- Construction submittal and RFI review
- Facility condition assessments and field inspections
- Quality assurance or construction oversight
- Prior military civil engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
