Weber Shandwick is seeking a visionary Executive Vice President to lead our Corporate Earned Media function in North America. This senior leader will be core to the delivery of our Weber Advisory portfolio, responsible for setting and executing a modern, integrated media vision for our top corporate clients, guiding them through a rapidly evolving landscape where news, influence, and reputation are shaped by a complex and dynamic media environment. The ideal candidate is a strategic counselor who understands that today's storytelling requires a sophisticated, integrated approach that extends beyond traditional media relations to encompass social media, influencer engagement, owned content, AI-powered search, and targeted paid amplification. This leader will serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives and internal teams, developing modern strategies that both build and protect corporate reputation.
The Executive Vice President will be a key driver of growth and innovation, partnering with senior leaders across our Weber Advisory capabilities, plus Earned, and Integrated Media teams to elevate the capability. Because powerful corporate storytelling is vital across all industries, the ideal candidate will bring multi-sector (e.g., financial services, technology, healthcare) expertise. Key responsibilities include counseling clients, leading new business pitches, and developing the next generation of earned media talent by fostering a culture of curiosity, inclusivity, and high performance. The successful candidate will possess a robust network of media relationships, a deep understanding of the integrated communications landscape, and a proven track record of developing influential points of view, strategic solutions, and thought leadership that help clients navigate complexity and break through.
Responsibilities
Client and Work
- Set the strategic vision for earned media and integrated communications across major corporate clients
- Serve as a trusted counselor and business partner to internal partners and senior client leaders, advising on complex communications challenges, executive visibility, reputation, and high-stakes media engagement.
- Lead the development of audience-led, culturally relevant ideas that create impact across earned, social, owned, paid, creator, partnership, and emerging channels.
- Partner with Strategy, Analytics, Creative, Client Experience, and integrated media teams to deliver distinctive solutions that address marketing and broader business needs.
- Shape the choreography of ideas across channels, ensuring each touchpoint works together to maximize relevance, reach, and impact.
- Build and leverage senior media, client, and industry relationships to unlock opportunities
- Provide executive oversight for major programs, ensuring strategic rigor, exceptional storytelling, strong delivery, and data-informed optimization.
Growth and Business Leadership
- Support account growth, retention, and new business opportunities across earned media and integrated communications specialty.
- Identify and champion opportunities to expand client engagements across disciplines, geographies, specialty capabilities, and agency partners.
- Develop senior-level strategic recommendations and lead high-impact presentations, pitches, and client discussions.
- Build the agency’s market profile through thought leadership, industry visibility, and award-worthy work.
- Own the financial health of assigned business, including profitability, resource planning, scope management, and productive client negotiations.
Leadership and Talent Development
- Build, lead, and retain diverse, high-performing teams; set a clear vision, model agency values, and create an inclusive culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Develop senior talent and future leaders through active coaching, sponsorship, succession planning, and career development.
- Help evolve the agency’s earned media and integrated communications capabilities, sharing learning and best practices across teams and regions.
- Cast integrated teams that bring the right expertise to each client challenge and enable the delivery of ambitious, connected work.

Basic Qualifications
- 18+ years of experience. Agency experience preferred.
- Experience leading projects from start to finish, working with integrated teams across various disciplines.
- Proven track record of success in the corporate sector, including reputation management, executive visibility, crisis communications, and proactive media relations.
